Stars on 45- Beatles Medley see if you like this. WARNING it is DISCO
You\'re right. When this song came out it helped to mark the resurgence of Beatles recordings and re-packaging that had just begun following the group\'s breakup in 1970. It was a step by one band to blend the then current music fad with what had been pure gold from the 1960s. The recording was appealing to the half-generation behind the 60s flower children. In retrospect today it remains a good recording for the dance market but not for serious FM listening. The disco backtrack makes it sound less listen-able in spots and enhances in others. I wonder how the song did commercially? It certainly received tons of airplay back in the day as an edited single. Thanks for posting.
