I am not a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, saw him in Iowa City right after he was on the cover of Newsweek and Time in the late 70's...perhaps one of the best shows I had ever seen to this day. But his voice and fame have been a bit too much for me....I do like today's song though, By the way, The Band has a great cover version of the same tune.

While Atlantic City is a good song, I think springsteen\'s best work occured when the E Street Band was in the early years, the first 2 albums. That said, I think his best song, EVER, is \"The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle.\" The arrangement is outstanding and it is pre pop and the influence of Steve Van Zandt. This is not to say I don\'t like Van Zandt, he is an amazing artist, it is just I feel the songs fell into the trap of being more radio friendly and less musically creative.
